Description: Rare German modernist table lamp from the 1930s. Entirely made of nickel-plated brass with a brushed finish, this combines influences by Bauhaus design with a shade that references early 20th century designs. Very nice original condition with some minor wear to the nickel plating. Two original bakelite E27 sockets with new wiring.

Description: Rare Italian ceiling lights from the 1950s. Probably a custom design and production, these have large octagonal acrylic shades which are supported by a sputnik structure made of brass-powdered steel, which has been restored. When mounted to the ceiling the top stems will touch the ceiling or hover just slightly underneath. One original brass and ceramic E27 socket with new wiring. Priced and sold individually.

Description: Rare pair of large dual-glass wall lights by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte, circa 1950. Large heart-shaped and curved glass elements are mounted on a slender brass frame. Sandwiched between the clear glass is a single original brass and ceramic E27 socket with new wiring. Nice original condition with partially heavy patina on the brass.

Description: Fine French Art Deco patinated brass sconces from the 1930s. Dark patinated tulip shades with a heart-shaped ribbon decoration in cast brass and small satin glass diffusers (one with a small chip) on the bottom. Originally a dark-grey mottled patina, this has developed a ‘dramatic life’ of its own over the years. The inside of the cones have been professionally repainted. One E27 socket each with new wiring.

Description: Elaborate brass chandelier by Vereinigte Werkstätten from the 1950-1960s. Compact seven-arm structure with 14 polished brass leaves decorations – the arms, canopy, socket covers and insides of the leaves are lacquered in off-white. Attached to the stem is a large 10cm/4″ solid clear glass ball. Very nice original condition with some retouching of paint on the inside of the brass leaves. Seven E14 sockets with new wiring and new fabric on the original custom shades (which sit on the socket covers).

Signed on the bottom of the base: “Birger Ekman, 1939”
